DESCRIPTION:Cochran’s offers group lessons for skiers and snowboarders from ages 6 and up. Group lessons include a lift ticket and last for 1 hour. Lessons are offered at 10 am or 1 pm on Saturdays and Sundays\, as well as holidays in which the ski area is open all day (9 am – 4 pm\, for example winter break). Just show up! Classes will switch to mornings only (10 am) from Feb. 27th to March 3rd and (11am) from March 4th until the end of the season. Registration is day-of at the snack bar. Arrive a half-hour early to sign-up\, get your lift ticket\, and meet your instructor on the hill at the beginning of class. If you plan on renting equipment\, arrive an hour before your lesson. $50 adult non-pass holder. $45 child/student non-pass holder. $30 and $25 for pass holders. A great way to brush up on those skills!

SUMMARY:Holiday Training Camp
DESCRIPTION:Racers are invited to partake in the Cochran Ski Area Training Camp (3 days) during Christmas. As usual the emphasis will be on running lot’s of gates… and ripping. The coaching will be simple\, with the goal to have everyone walk away (ski away?) with 1 or 2 “keys” that bring out their best skiing. Timmy Kelley and Jimmy Cochran will be coaching\, with “cameo” appearances by current world cup regulars Robby Kelley and Ryan Cochran-Seigle to provide visual demonstrations. Come with questions\, a smile\, and strong forearms (you’ll need them after multiple laps on the ropetow!) \nAll proceeds support our favorite little ski area! \nWhat: Three days of intensive SL and GS training with current and former World Cup racers and US Teamers/Olympians \nWhen: Dec. 27\, 28\, 29 (Wed\, Thurs\, and Fri… 9am – noon) \nWhere: Cochran’s Ski Area\, Richmond (1 mile west of Round Church\, Cochran Road) \nPrice: $100 (lift ticket valid all day) Scholarships are available. SUMMARY:Cochran's Ski Sale
DESCRIPTION:Vermont’s oldest and largest ski and ride swap and sale will be on Saturday\, November 4th and Sunday\, November 5th at the Camels Hump Middle School in Richmond. As usual there will be lots of gear for sale including Alpine\, snowboard\, telemark\, cross-country\, hockey skates and equipment\, boots\, clothing\, and more. In addition to the great deals on second-hand gear\, Cochran’s Ski and Ride Sale also will have lots of new equipment for sale from many regional vendors. And as usual\, there will be many current and former Cochran’s Ski Club alumni working the sale – helping to make this the most fun ski and ride sale in the region. \nProceeds from the Cochran’s Ski and Ride Sale support the Cochran’s Race Program\, and keep this training available and affordable to to all Vermonters. \nCome early\, grab a shopping list\, find a volunteer shopper’s helper\, and get help until you have everything you need for winter – and spend the rest of the season not shopping\, but playing outside! Our volunteers can help you find the right gear for your family. \nCash and checks keep our bank fees down\, but credit cards are also welcome. Thank you for supporting our youth racing program!
